Michael Symons has more than 10 years of experience in the waste and recycling sector and has worked with CRJ Services since 2016. Having grown up in the recycling industry, he has a strong practical understanding of both machinery and the operational demands of the sector.

Over the course of his career, Michael has held a range of commercial roles. He now serves as Head of Sales at CRJ Services, where he leads the company’s national sales strategy. He has been instrumental in strengthening CRJ’s supplier and customer networks across the wood recycling, biomass and wider waste industry in both the UK and Ireland.

Through this work, Michael has built extensive industry relationships and developed a deep understanding of the operational, commercial and regulatory factors involved in processing waste wood and other recyclable materials. His key focus is on building long-term supplier partnerships, supporting customers with the right machinery solutions and driving sustainable business growth.

At CRJ, Michael works closely with leading international manufacturers, representing and supporting their technology within the UK market across static and mobile shredding, chipping and screening equipment.

As the Service Member Representative on the WRA Board, Michael draws on this experience to help support the continued development and professionalisation of the wood recycling sector.
