The Wood Recyclers’ Association has today welcomed confirmation of the Government’s support for bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (power BECCS) in its ‘Powering Up Britain’ energy security plan
Following five years of work to clarify which waste wood items are potentially hazardous, the WRA has welcomed plans by the Environment Agency to withdraw RPS 250 on September 1st.
The Government recognises the important contribution that the waste wood biomass sector contributes to energy security and net zero goals, according to energy minister Graham Stuart.
