WRA member Powerday has announced will remain as the Principal Partner of London Irish RFC for the 2021/22 season.

As the main sponsor and key investor of the rugby union club, Powerday – the largest family-owned recycling and waste management company in the South East of England – will support London Irish as the club’s main sponsor for the ninth successive season.

Powerday branding will feature prominently on London Irish’s home and away kit, along with all training apparel and branding opportunities at the Hazelwood training complex and the Brentford Community Stadium throughout the 2021/22 rugby season.

Off the pitch, London Irish and Powerday will continue to mutually collaborate on a wide range of bespoke events and unique initiatives, whilst ensuring their joint impact delivers exceptional positive outcomes for individuals and communities across London in some of the most hard to reach areas and estates.

Powerday Chairman and London Irish President and Owner, Mick Crossan, said: “Powerday is pleased to continue and extend our commitment as title sponsor to London Irish for the forthcoming season. I am also exceptionally proud of steering London Irish back into the capital – our spiritual base – to grow on our historic roots, undoubted potential and relationships for the future.

“We are about to launch upon a very exciting time for the club and next season’s campaign – both on and off the pitch – promises so much in terms of development at all levels, and hopefully success.

“Powerday and London Irish have many shared values and a clear commitment to making things better as a core value, and we will continue to commit effort and endeavour to further expand our impact and outcomes to benefit communities and provide opportunities to change ‘Young Londoners Lives for the Better’.”

Mark Bensted, London Irish CEO, added: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Powerday, and we are grateful to Mick and his team for their long-standing support of the Club. It’s a relationship that continues to flourish and our recent move back into London will only serve to enhance the work we do together.”
