Powerday has appointed Simon Little to the newly created role of Director responsible for Refuse Derived Fuel sales.
Powerday are pleased to welcome Simon back after an absence of two and a half years. During his sabbatical Simon gained invaluable experience working within the RDF export market. In his new appointment, Simon will be primarily responsible for Powerday’s production and disposal of RDF and recycled woodchip as the company produces higher volumes of these waste-derived fuels.
Joint Managing Director, Jim Craig says: “As London’s leading independent producer of RDF, we are always looking for new outlets for our high quality and high volume materials. Recognising the importance of this role in our business, we are very pleased to welcome back Simon with his unrivalled knowledge of our business and both the domestic and international RDF markets. The creation of this new role and appointment of Simon to this key position is another stepping stone as part of our overall growth strategy”
Simon says: “I’m very happy to be back at Powerday, having stayed in touch with the team over the last couple of years, I have followed all the innovations and developments made over that time to keep the company at the forefront of the waste industry. I’m relishing the challenges of my new role and of sourcing new outlets. I look forward to supporting and enhancing the strategic growth plans of the company, re-connecting with old clients and partners, and working with new ones as we move forward.”
Simon originally worked for Powerday in a sales and marketing capacity, supporting client relationships, business growth, together with community engagement and sports partnerships.
