Three seats on the Board of the Wood Recyclers’ Association (WRA) are up for election at our AGM next week, which takes place on Wednesday 9th March in Telford.
WRA founding member and long-serving Board member Geoff Hadfield has decided to stand down from the Board after 21 years of involvement with the Association. He is a past Chair and Deputy Chair of the WRA and will be missed by everyone on the Board and the wider Association.
In addition, the seats of existing Board members Alan Webb and Paul Caldwell are also due for election and both Alan and Paul have decided to stand again.
The Association has also received two further nominations for election to the Board – Vicki Hughes, formerly of Enva Wood Recycling and now from McPhee Associates, and Richard Jenkins from Stobart Energy.
WRA member companies each have three votes to cast in next week’s elections, which they can do before hand via a confidential form that has been sent out to all members, or on the day of the meeting. Voting will close at 10am on Wednesday March 9th and the three people with the highest number of votes will be elected to the Board for a period of three years. The results will be announced at the AGM. For further information please email Julia.turner@woodrecyclers.org
