The WRA’s Andy Hill will once again Chair the ACI’s European Biomass to Power 2019 conference, which is taking place in Helsinki, Finland on November 6th and 7th.
Andy, who chaired the event last year in Stockholm, will open the two day conference with a presentation giving a brief overview of the UK’s waste wood market and biomass trends in the UK and Europe. He will also talk briefly about future drivers in the sector including CO2 emissions and Natural Capital.
Andy said: “I am delighted to have been invited back for a second year to open and chair this event, which sees some of Europe’s major players in the biomass industry come together to learn, share and network. It is fantastic that the WRA has this profile on the European stage.”
The conference will bring together key industry stakeholders including representatives from power companies, biomass producers, biomass traders and distribution companies, trade associations, renewable energy consultancies, EPC contractors, as well as regional & national governments and regulatory and research bodies.
Over the two days the event will give an in-depth look into case studies giving practical examples of planning, finance and technology strategies utilised for biomass co-generation projects.
