The WRA was delighted to be ‘Highly Commended’ at the 2025 Trade Association Forum Awards in London last night (February 27).
These are the leading awards recognising the work of trade associations and we were one of four finalists in the Sector Representation of the Year category, with our friends at the Stove Industry Association named the winners on the night.
Our entry focused on our work on Waste Wood Classification led by Vicki Hughes, the Technical Lead on the WRA Board, working alongside Executive Director Julia Turner.
The judges praised the WRA for being ‘an incredibly strong example of a trade association delivering tangible results for its members, through convening stakeholders, collecting and delivering evidence with impact.’
A big thank you to all our members and partners who contributed to this collective success, and to the Trade Association Forum for organising such an inspiring event.
And congratulations to Erica Malkin, Andy Hill, James Verlaque and everyone at the SIA! 👏
