Powerday is an independent family business providing market-leading waste management services to construction and demolition companies, local authorities and commercial businesses.

The company operates the largest Materials Recycling Facilities (MRFs) in Southern England from sites in Willesden Junction and Enfield. These are supported by waste transfer stations in Brixton, Heathrow and Wimbledon, giving Powerday an unrivalled presence across London. Together these facilities are licensed to process over 2 million tonnes of waste each year and provide 100% diversion from landfill.

Using the latest technology, Powerday recycles and recovers valuable resources and produces renewable fuels which are supplied to energy-from-waste plants across the UK and Europe. Powerday processes approximately 40,000 tonnes of waste wood a year and is committed to making the best use of these materials by producing both biomass fuels and A grade wood chips that can be recycled into various new products.

With an ethos of ‘giving back’, Powerday uses its sustained growth to support local communities. In particular the company believes strongly that the lives of disadvantaged young Londoners can be improved through sport and opportunity. Powerday’s work in this area is now as important to the company as its waste management services. In 2018/19 Powerday generated a total of £9.2m of social value with every pound their clients spent with them contributing £0.17 to the wider community.
