The Wood Recyclers’ Association is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Trade Association Forum Awards 2024, the UK’s leading awards recognising the work of trade associations.

The Association is one of five trade bodies shortlisted in the ‘Sector Representation of the Year’ category.

This category honours the work of a trade association that, in the opinion of the judges, has led the best representative action for their sector over the past year, and is the sponsored by the Department for Business & Trade.

The WRA’s entry focused on its recent work on waste wood classification and MP engagement and was supported by testimonials.

According to the Trade Association Forum – the umbrella body for industry trade associations in the UK – the standard of entries this year was very high, making it very tough for the judges to select finalists.

Julia Turner, Executive Director of the WRA, said: “It is an honour to be shortlisted for this prestigious award as it shows that the work we do on behalf of our members and the waste wood industry is being recognised alongside the biggest and best in the country and helps to further raise the profile of our sector. We look forward to the winner being announced in February!”

The final judging panels will be meeting in the New Year and the winners of each category will be announced on the night of the awards, on February 22 in London.
