The Wood Recyclers’ Association is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Trade Association Forum Awards – the UK’s leading awards recognising the work of trade associations – for the third year running.

The Association has been named today (December 9) as a finalist in the ‘Sector Representation of the Year’ category for the 2026 Awards.

This category recognises the trade association which has led the best representative action for their sector over the past year and is sponsored by the Department for Business & Trade.

The WRA’s entry focused on its work with the regulators on waste wood storage which led to the launch of RPS 352 in June and on its ongoing biomass advocacy work.

Earlier this year, the WRA was ‘Highly Commended’ in this category at the 2025 TAF Awards, for its work on Waste Wood Classification.

Julia Turner, Executive Director of the WRA, said: “It is such an honour to be shortlisted for these awards for the third year running alongside so many other amazing trade bodies. This shows that the work we do on behalf of our members is being consistently recognised and helps to further raise the profile of our sector. We wish all the finalists the very best of luck!”

The winners of each category will be announced on the night of the awards, on 26 February 2026 in London.
